Since opening in 2006 Burstead Bears Day Nursery has become an award winning early years Day Nursery for the under 5’s, providing a premium level of early years childcare and education. We have achieved an enviable reputation of being one of the most sought after nurseries in Essex, which we are very proud of and we will continue to ensure that the same high standards are maintained in future years.

Despite the number of nurseries in Essex, Burstead Bears Day Nursery and Pre School believe that we are one of only a very few nurseries in Billericay and indeed Essex to offer parents the security of being able to view their children at any time and from anywhere via our secure internet viewing system.

Our nursery located in rural Billericay prides itself on achieving some of the most desired accreditations, in addition to being independently voted a Top 20 Nursery in the East of England, we have also achieved the highly acclaimed ‘Gold Award for Good Food & Healthy Eating’ and the prestigious ‘5 Star Award of Excellence for Hygiene’.

The Ofsted regulated nursery encourages children to engage in exciting activities that challenge, support and extend their learning and development. We have a stimulating environment to encourage a range of play, exploration and talk. Children are able to create, investigate, and explore, encouraging their curiosity, imagination and creativity. We have an abundance of high quality toys and equipment to enable children to have fun and learn at the same time.

Externally, we boast a generously sized and well-equipped garden, also a separate sensory garden where the children express themselves through mark making, planting and various sensory activities.
