The Institute was established by Emiri Decree No. 70 of 2014, issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the Union and Ruler of Sharjah, on December 11, 2014. It is a cultural and scientific institution comprising a number of centers, departments, and divisions working to advance its mission and objectives.
