The University of Hail is a Saudi university located in the city of Hail, in the north of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its establishment dates back to a royal decree issued on Tuesday, 30 Jumada al-Thani 1426 AH (June 7, 2005 AD), to be a pioneering beacon of scientific, intellectual, and cultural influence in the region and one of the most important pillars of the modern renaissance in the Kingdom.

The university launched its second strategic plan (2024-2028), whose ambitious vision and lofty mission are built on investing in and preserving its available human capabilities and increasing its competitiveness to achieve innovation in scientific research and academic excellence among its competitors. This will advance and promote the university education system to ensure its quality. The plan is based on eight strategic goals that shape its values and scientific and institutional approach. These goals include: competitive graduates, innovative researchers, sustainable resources, an attractive and supportive environment, institutional excellence, digital transformation, and an active society. Finally, it emphasizes solid values to build a conscious and responsible national character.

In line with these goals, the university’s second strategic plan ensured alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The strategic plan also focused on keeping pace with and evolving with the new university system. The plan was committed to being an effective partner in building and developing human capabilities, equipping them with distinguished qualifications and competencies in knowledge, skill, and thought. This plan bears the slogan “Our Capabilities, Our Future.”
