The American International School of Jeddah is a non-profit school that offers an authentic American education, designed to nurture scholars’ passion for knowledge. Formerly known as Parents Cooperative School (PCS), the school was founded in 1952 by a group of expatriate parents who saw a need for a formal American curriculum education in Jeddah. It later went on to be renamed North Campus School (NCS) in 1976, Saudi Arabian International School (Saudia – SAIS) in 1985, and finally American International School of Jeddah (AISJ) in 2004.

AISJ has stood as a beacon of educational excellence and cultural diversity since its inception in 1952. With over 70 years dedicated to shaping young minds, AISJ is steadfast in its mission to inspire all scholars through an authentic American international education, facilitating learning, empathy, and aspirations.

Education here transcends traditional boundaries, focusing on the holistic development of each scholar. We aim to equip our scholars with critical skills and global perspectives necessary to confidently navigate and contribute to the world.

At AISJ, we have built a robust curriculum that integrates a wide range of academic and extracurricular programs. Our scholars benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and a diverse set of activities that allow them to pursue and explore their unique talents and interests in a supportive environment.

Through various initiatives, such as our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and AP/IB programs, we inspire scholars to experiment and discover, pushing the boundaries of their knowledge and skills. By nurturing an innovative mindset, AISJ prepares its scholars not only to adapt to change but to lead and shape the future.
