Thirty children fighting cancer, accompanied by their families, attended to plant medicinal and aromatic plants and flowers at Ammon Applied University College.
At the beginning, His Excellency Mr. Michael Nazzal welcomed the attendees and thanked all the supporters of this initiative, which enhances children’s sense of happiness and provides them with psychological and social support. Then Rajwa for Counseling and Training Foundation thanked the sponsor of the ceremony, the participants, and the supporters, and highlighted the importance of partnerships between civil society institutions to serve our society.
The children presented a musical performance about cancer, then planted seedlings with the help of their parents. The event also included an activity to draw on children’s faces and concluded with a Junior Chef competition inside the college.
On the other hand, the parents of the children stressed the importance of such initiatives in supporting children during the treatment journey, and in relieving and encouraging them.
Such initiatives are launched to push the local community towards volunteering, increase awareness and social solidarity, and enhance the sense of social responsibility, which brings joy and happiness to children with cancer, and provides psychological support for them and their families.
